3rd Anniversary

Image
Today we celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. It's hard to believe that it's been 3 years. Time does fly. We enjoyed the day at home together and went out for mexican food for dinner. A simple, relaxed, and calm anniversary. It's always fun to start out the New Year with an anniversary. May have been a bit of a nightmare planning a wedding 4 days after Christmas, but it makes for a really great way to wrap up a year and start fresh on a new. XO, Meg

A Belly Shot

Image
Ok, so it takes some major guts for me to post this picture. But I'm doing it for you. Here is my belly - clearly starting to poke out. I'm 16 weeks, we go for my 16w doctor appointment tomorrow. This is a pre-pregnancy shirt and in my pre-pregnancy clothes I definitely look more pregnant than in any maternity tops. I probably just mostly look fat, but Dustin and I can definitely tell it's a round little baby bump. I've already been teased for "showing so early" although I'm not sure that 4 months pregnant is really early... but I am a Hale girl and it's no surprise that there's a bump already. How some women go 5-6 months without showing is beyond me! Anyway, all is well. We are hoping to get to hear the heartbeat again tomorrow. We had a nice Christmas and are looking forward to a nice Anniversary this week and a fun New Years as well. Hope you are all having a nice holiday week. XO Meg

The Stockings Are Hung

Image
We are moved in and settled enough that we pulled out our box of Christmas decorations a couple nights ago. It is amazing how much more like home it feels now that the stockings are hung. We don't have a tree because, well, we moved in only a week ago today, but I'm ok with not having one this year. Seems like an awful lot of work considering Christmas is next week. We have our stockings out, the nativity up, and various decorations around the house that help it to still feel like we've fully decorated. And we used our lights from our tree to decorate our front porch. So we're in and ready for the holiday. It was my goal to be settled enough that we could really enjoy Christmas. Mission accomplished. XO Meg

We've Moved!

We are finally starting to feel somewhat settled into our new home. We moved in on Sunday thanks to the help of our families and a few friends. It feels like so much space after our little loft in downtown. We have square footage and it's clean and so private. The suburbs finally got us. But for being in the suburbs, we're at least literally within walking distance to the towncenter where there are shops, restaurants, a Tattered Cover, and so much community. I look forward to being able to walk to the farmers market there in the summer. Pictures will be coming, but not until I get a few more boxes out of the house. Moving 14 weeks pregnant and two weeks before Christmas is proving to be taking a little longer to get us settled. So I'm letting it go, doing a little here and there, and trying not to let it steal our Christmas. But I promise I'll put up some photos as soon as it's ready-ish. Let me know if you'd like our new address and I'll send it your way. X
