Julian's First Snowman

Image
March weather has been so much fun for us this year. It's been a really nice combo of snowy days and warm, sunny days. A couple weekends ago we took Julian to the park to play. It was still covered in snow so Dustin decided it was time to make a snowman. It was Julian's very first snow man! It was so fun to watch them build it together. We like the snow but are really enjoying the spring-y weather this week.  Helping Daddy roll the first snowball. LOVE those sweet little mittens.  Our snowman is funny! A kiss for snowman. <3 Ta-da!

Happiness

Image
Happiness is a mailbox full of valentines for Julian (and one for Dustin and me!). It was so fun to open the mailbox today and see so many valentines from our family members. Thanks so much to you all for sending something fun. It really beats opening the mailbox to tax forms. ;) Feeling the love! XO, Meg

Bed head

When I went in to get Julian out of bed this morning, this is what I was greeted with: the greatest display of bed head there has ever been. I promise you, I did not do anything to enhance the state of his hair, I truly found him this way. The separation in the middle is notably similar in width as the slats in his crib. I have absolutely no idea how he slept that allowed for such a show this morning. And at bedtime tonight, it was still sticking up exactly like this. I left it like this all day because it made me smile.

The Color Run

Image
I just signed up to participate in The Color Run . It is advertised as "the happiest 5K on the planet" and I totally believe it. I've only done one 5K in my life and it happened to be when I was 10(ish) years old. I hardly remember it. But I've worked so hard to lose all my baby weight from my pregnancy with Julian and am getting really fit in 2013 so I am committing to run this 5K and have a blast in the mean time. I am practically giddy with excitement. I cannot wait.

Merry Merry!

Our tree lit up with gifts underneath. I love having our tree up. Some of Julian's new toys and books. And some itty bitty striped mittens. Santa brought Julian a new airport. It was a huge hit. Our stockings filled with lots of goodies.  Julian playing happily while watching his dad open a gift. He found a piece that he can pull off. He thought it was pretty funny! One of Julian's new books, "Are You My Mother?" Read it again, daddy!  Julian helping. So much excitement. Learning how to tear the paper. It ended up a tad bit bigger than it looked on the box. ;) It's pretty sweet though. We had such a nice day at home just the three of us today! White snow outside, Christmas music playing, gifts to unwrap, and a lot of snuggling made for a great day. We had Christmas with the Hale side of the family yesterday and will see the Brothers side of the family tomorrow. The merry just keeps on coming!
