Merry Merry!

Image
Our tree lit up with gifts underneath. I love having our tree up. Some of Julian's new toys and books. And some itty bitty striped mittens. Santa brought Julian a new airport. It was a huge hit. Our stockings filled with lots of goodies.  Julian playing happily while watching his dad open a gift. He found a piece that he can pull off. He thought it was pretty funny! One of Julian's new books, "Are You My Mother?" Read it again, daddy!  Julian helping. So much excitement. Learning how to tear the paper. It ended up a tad bit bigger than it looked on the box. ;) It's pretty sweet though. We had such a nice day at home just the three of us today! White snow outside, Christmas music playing, gifts to unwrap, and a lot of snuggling made for a great day. We had Christmas with the Hale side of the family yesterday and will see the Brothers side of the family tomorrow. The merry just keeps on coming!

SNOW!

Image
We have had an unusually warm autumn so we were all thrilled this week to see some snow. Dustin worked from home and we stayed in while the snow blew sideways like a blizzard and piled up on our front porch. When the snow stopped falling, Julian and I went out front to shovel. He spent the whole time trying to decide if he liked it or not. My mom bought him really nice snow boots and I found his winter coat on clearance last summer. The mittens are supposed to be in his stocking, but we decided to borrow them for a day to keep his tiny fingers warm. He still refuses to wear a hat on his little head. I'm glad we have some good winter gear for him because this little boy does not like to be cooped up inside for too long. We'll be out in the snow a lot this winter. XO, Meg

Merry Christmas!

Dustin's Work Party

Image
On the field at Mile High! Light dusting of snow was so pretty. Muah! All lit up for us. We had such a fun time. My outfit for a fancy night out! This year Dustin's work Christmas party was held at Mile High Stadium. The company rented out the super-fancy United Club for the night and wined and dined us. Between it being fully catered and open bar, we had a really great evening. We had delicious salmon and steak for dinner, chocolate cake and cheesecake for dessert, I enjoyed a few glasses of chardonnay and Dustin enjoyed a few beers. After dinner, we got to take a tour of the stadium and see locker rooms and keg rooms and got to walk out on the field. A fresh dusting of snow made it feel like we were standing in a snow globe. We had such a great time and it was a significant improvement over last year's party! A fun night out!
