*smile*

Julian learned to smile this week. This photo was taken mid-smile (it's really hard to catch one on camera!). He has been working on it all week, and then yesterday Dustin came in to say good morning to him while I was feeding him, and he looked up at Dustin and smiled a huge smile. He spent the day yesterday practicing smiling at my aunt, my grandpa, and at us. It is the sweetest thing in the whole world. I love having a smiley, happy baby.

Our Garden

Here's an update about how our container gardening is going. We are definitely using this year as a learning curve with container gardening - it's not as easy as I thought it would be. But we have been able to harvest a tomato with plenty more on the way to becoming ripe. Our zucchini plant is really struggling. It doesn't have enough dirt in the container and it's gotten pretty beat up from the weather. It wilts very easily and may or may not produce zucchini this year. It's yet to be decided. It is flowering, just not really producing anything beyond the pretty yellow flowers. It's always been such a fool-proof thing to grow for me, so it not growing well this year is interesting. The strawberries aren't really doing much of anything at all. It's my first time attempting strawberries. I'm not sure I'll do them again. So far I'd say they are pretty underwhelming. The peppers on the far right are starting to really grow and we have two green
