Julian's cake. I had so much fun making it and found a new favorite buttercream frosting recipe.  Anyone who knows me knows that this is an act of love for my child.  My niece and nephews are gluten free so these are gf cupcakes.  Ready to party! He wasn't a fan of being sung to. It actually made him cry.  Blowing out his candle! Happy Birthday Julian! Your birthday is the best day of the year for me every single year. I love you, Mama. XO

Julian is tuning 2 this weekend. He is wild and adventurous and full of life. This ended up being an impromptu photo session with him. We stopped off at a park one day to check it out as a possible location for future photo sessions and Julian was having so much fun playing and running, that I pulled out the camera. The impromptu, in-the-moment sessions are always my favorite. I so love photos that don't look posed and forced. I am so happy I was able to capture so much of his spirit in these photos. This little boy has a birthday coming up this weekend. My little guy is going to be 2 years old! He is vivacious and sweet and determined and adventurous. I love having a son and I am really enjoying watching him learn and grow and talk. He is such a gift to me. I'll post his 2 year old photos later this week. (part of his birthday party invitation that I made.)

Bath time fun tonight. This silly boy has decided that the only version of hat he likes is this bucket on his head.  Snuggling on the back porch while watching Julian play.  Playing in the fountains at the park near our house. I cannot keep this little boy out of the water.  His daddy let him pick out his first purchase at the Lego Store. He picked out a train. I'm not sure who was more excited about it.  Snuggling in the sun. Love our little family.
