IRELAND!

Image
YEP. We're going there! May 15-29 to be exact. And it is all I can do to try to contain my overuse of exclamation marks in my excitement about it. We have always talked about going - we've dreamed of it since we were only dating. The part that pushes the trip right over the edge from being great to excellent is that we'll be going with our really good friends, Shane and Briana. Four adults and our sweet wee one will be flying Aer Lingus all together! Julian will be bouncing from lap to lap and will get to tour the country with us. It still seems a little bit surreal. But the tickets are purchased. Plans are being made. And we are going! The best part: we'll be there to celebrate my 30th Birthday and Dustin's 27th Birthday! (We fly out the day after my bday actually). I never would have dreamed that we could make it happen but to get to be going with our friends is truly a dream. The opportunity presented itself and we took the leap and said yes. Ireland here we com

Winter Wonderland

Image
This is one thing to get me into the Christmas spirit, snow!!! A couple of pics from this morning, after the blizzard last night. It still continues to snow now, which adds to the delightful atmosphere with the Christmas Tree, some nice tunes and a cup of coffee. Enjoy the white blanket that covers all the noise of the world today. -D

(this moment) - A weekly ritual. A single (ok, two this week) photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. Well, he's not *crawling* yet, but he's perfectly happy scooting across the room to explore the presents and get a feel of that pokey tree. He's all over the house. Scooting and rolling wherever he'd like to go. Pretty sweet. XO, Meg

New PJs

Image
I bought Julian some new pjs yesterday for the winter days. There were two in the pack, this one is blue with snowmen, reindeer, penguins, and it says Winter Wonder Land. The others are just green with a little snowman. He is so snuggly and cozy I had to share. XO Meg

Family Photos

Image
It's that time of year where it's time to find a family photo for the Christmas cards. We had a couple of options from when my family was all here in August when Julian was only 6 weeks old, but decided to try to be a little more updated than that for cards. So Dustin and I set up my DSLR camera on the dresser in our bedroom with the tripod and the remote, we all snuggled up on the bed, and started snapping some photos. We had so much fun and within about ten minutes, we had tons of photos to choose from. I loaded them on my computer, did some editing to black and white, and ordered our Christmas cards - all within about an hour from start to finish. I ordered them from Shutterfly and a few days later they arrived. I had most of them addressed and ready to be sent out on December 1. I love to see photos of friends and family each year and look forward to sending out ours each year. Hardly seems like a year ago since we sent out cards that were from "Dustin, Megan, and Baby
