Yesterday at 20 weeks pregnant. Baby is sticking out and kicking me a lot! We have our 20 week ultrasound tomorrow. No we are still not finding out the gender. Yes, we're sure we want to be surprised. Half way! XO, Meg
I've finally taken photos of the baby's room to share with you. And while I sometimes feel like this room will never be "done" (whatever that even means), I decided that it's time to just show it as it is - a work in progress for a little one soon to arrive. (click on the photos to see them larger if you like) I made the flag banner by hand, as well as the painted artwork hanging on the wall. On the shelf is a green piggy bank from grandma, a piece of art that I made, and some vintage blocks. I had the photo frames already thrifted and repainted. I made these fabric hangings just by stretching vintage inspired fabrics that I love over embroidery hoops. Just to add some color to the side of the room with the closet. This is probably my favorite part of the room. There is no overhead lighting in our house so I put together a group of Chinese lanterns and we hung them from the ceiling. The large white one actually lights and is connected to the light switch on a dim...
If I'm telling the truth, it's that I kind of forgot I had a blog. It came up in conversation today with a dear friend of mine and I was like oh man, it's been a very long time since I even pulled up my own blog. So in good Meg fashion, here's my 2018 "It's been a long time" post. Julian is 6 and loving first grade. He's reading at a third grade level and thriving in school with a wonderful teacher this year. He has this toothless grin that is one of my favorite things. Ever. He loves to talk about the Titanic and he loves to sit and draw pictures all day long. He's such a happy, snuggly boy and loves all things science, dinosaurs, and legos. Alice is about to turn 4 in a couple of weeks. She is so much sweet and so much sass and so much fun. She has been home with me this year and we've had a lot of fun just the two of us while Julian goes to school. She's done a little bit of ballet and gymnastics this year and...
It's been 3 years since I last posted. That is pretty hard to believe. And I doubt anyone still reads this itty bitty corner of the internet. But just in case there's anyone still out there... The last almost two years have felt like a blur. In September of 2019 we'd been looking at houses and were getting ready to buy a little bit bigger home to settle into for a long while when I had a strange feeling that we needed to back out of that plan and Dustin needed to, on a whim, apply to another company for a new job. A couple of weeks later he accepted that engineering job in aerospace and was commuting across Denver up into Westminster for his new job. We put our house on the market and went under contract immediately. It sparked the beginning of a very long adventure of relocating to the north side of the city for us. We decided to build a house in north Broomfield and planned to rent an AirB&B for 2 months that we'd be in between selling our house and closing on o...
So cute Meg! Hope all is fantastic at your doc visit.
